Summer Shoes

My favorite summer shoes are my Chaco sandals that I bought while in Colorado last summer. At first I was hesitant b/c they were around $70 for a fancy pair of flip flops....but after the sales man advised me of the lifetime guarantee....even if my dog chews through the strap...and the fact that I can tighten down the strap and hike in them....even though rivers.....not that I do that often but you never know. I decided to pay the money and buy them. Best shoes I have bought!! They are so comfortable!!! I even wore them when we went down to Dallas for the opening OU football game and my feet didn't hurt one bit!

Brad's favorite summer shoes are his Keens...He swears they are the most comfortable thing ever!! His dad gave him a pair two summers ago and then I bought him a new pair last year. At first I really didn't like the look of them....but they have grown on me. He likes them b/c they are like a sandal/tennis shoe and even though they are leather you can still get them wet and it doesn't hurt them at all.

Lavender Vanilla Love

I'm not a big fan of lavender or vanilla when they are on their own but put them together and mmm...good!! I have used and suggest using the following products if you too also enjoy this scent as well.

Now I am a Yankee candle whore....but I LOVE this candle as much as any Yankee!!

This product is actually the item that prompted this blog. I usually get the Yankee plug.in thingy for the bedroom - but they don't have ALL the different scents in the plug.in as they do in the candles -- so I was grocery shopping and decided to pick this up for our bedroom and I love LOVE it!! You can turn the smell to high or low...we have it on low... and it is such a pleasant continuous smell for the bedroom!!!! I highly suggest it!!

I was a bit sketchy about this shampoo at first b/c I am not a big coconut sent fan...but I love this stuff!! I actually love how it makes my hair smell!! Even after drying it I can still slightly smell the coconut and its not overpowering at all!!

Snack

A friend from work gave me a jar of honey that came from her husband's beehive....I have discovered so many things to do with honey and my favorite one is rice cakes w/ peanut butter, honey & banana slices on occasion...I actually find it a bit too filling if I add the banana but its still so yummy!!

  

I have also recently discovered Black Cherry yogurt!!! Oh my if you haven't tried this flavor yet do it today!! So far I have realized it doesn't even matter which brand you buy the flavor is awesome!!!

For my feet

This product only comes out once a year!!! It is Arbonne Pampermint foot scrub & lotion. My mom had given me some over the summer and I just fell in love with it. Like every girl out there we want soft toes but sometimes its not all that easy. I find it super simple with this product. I use it on my feet 2 - 3 times a week along w/ a pumas stone I then put the lotion on b/f my socks and off to work I go. This winter I found out this only comes out at Christmas and its a bit pricey since it is Arbonne...But I decided that it was worth it to me... I can't afford to get my toes done all the time at $30 -40 a pop...so I dropped $60.00 on this set and find that I am able to get my feet softer then the ladies at the nail place can...so its worth it to me!!

Weakness

Oh my goodness I almost forgot my new favorite vice  il Dolce Gelato!! If you live in the Norman or Moore area then YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS PLACE OUT!!! My favorite is to mix chocolate & almond!!! HEAVEN IN A CONE!! and you eat it with a tiny lil spoon and its totally worth every penny!!

Addiction to Coke...

Now I know that my diet coke addiction is not as bad as say being a meth.head or something like that but for me it is pretty bad...so bad that Christmas Eve night after the Oklahoma Blizzard stopped blowing around midnight I was craving a diet coke so bad that I happen to notice a car drive effortlessly down my street and I actually almost decided to run to Walgreen's for a cold refreshing DC....until I looked at my truck and saw over a foot of snow all over it and realized I would have to scrape my car just for a 5 min jaunt down the road. So I went to bed instead....Diet coke is my choice b/c I find the taste spectacular - not b/c of the fact that its "diet" or anything else...it could be called Crap Coke and it would still be my number one drink of choice...I have tried many of times to stop but I just can't give it up...I guess the first step is just admitting I have a problem...RIGHT?

So the skin on my face is freaking out!!! This happens whenever we start to have a weather change. I get these lovely lil red patches of super dry skin ...its just fabulous. So while I was at work today I decided to go online and see if I could find something at Walgreen's to pick up on the way home.... kinda like a VO5 treatment for my face... so I came across this...

Walgreen's just happened to have a special that if you bought any Yes To product that cost more then 8.00 or something then you got a free Lip Butter -- Heck Ya!! since my lips are falling off too!!! So I picked this up this lil beauty in melon flavor, a value of $3.64.

A girl can never have too many chap sticks!!! And so far I love it!!! Now I am a burts bee fan true and blue but I would have to say that Yes To Carrots is my next favorite. My bff Lindy gave me one of these awhile back ago and I use it all the time as well.....

Its a nice change to plain jane chap stick :O) called....
