Yesterday will be put down as the first time in history that .........I ever cooked a HUGE meal which included a turkey!!! I bet you guys were thinking I was going to talk about the swearing in of the first African American President..That was exciting too...I watched it all day!
So I had my parents come down for dinner yesterday and I cooked my turkey that I had rec'd as a Thanksgiving gift from the hospital and let me tell you I was quite nervous. You see I can bake...Not cook! So I got up early and I baked a cheese cake - from scratch, even the crust - and then the bird went into the oven. I also made broccoli, rice and cheese casserole for the first time too. And it all turned out FABULOUS! I was quite proud of myself! However it was freaking exhausting...I was ready for a nap by the time my parents showed up!
And as a side note The Boy did help me clean up the house while I was cooking and I appreciated it very much!!
Back to my bird....

Aren't you little Miss Suzy Homemaker! I'm quite proud of you! I wouldn't know where to begin, trying to fix a turkey. Or cheesecake... which sounds YUMMY! I am pretty good with casseroles, though! I also discovered I make a pretty amazing vegetable soup.
My invitation must have TOTALLY gotten lost in the mail ;o) heh heh.
That meal sounds DELICIOUS!
