Norman Music Festival

Yesterday I was lucky enough to have the day off of work and got to go to the Norman Music Festival. It was so much fun!!!!! What they did was they blocked off Main St. in downtown Norman and they had 2 large stages on opposite ends of the street and then they also had bands in the Sooner Theater and the Red Room and behind Dream Concepts. And you just wonder around listening to all the local bands and eating fair food and drinkin beer. There was a pretty good size group of us so we would sometimes split up for a bit and get back together. Afterwords we went down to New York Pizza on campus and ate some yummy pizza and then went home at 10:30.

Family members and friends: I have two fur-brothers Casey and Cooper and I have a fur-friend named Lula.
Favorite activities: I love playing fetch, looking out the window.
Why I want to be in the race and how I will prepare: I want to prove that I am the fastest wiener in the west!! I have been preparing for this race by running with my papa and also running as fast as I can when I play fetch.

Biography

I am a 1yr old black/tan 13lb mini doxie. I live in Norman Oklahoma with my mama, papa and my two older fur-brothers Casey and Cooper. My brothers and I like to run around the backyard with our fur-neighbor Lula and I'm always the fastest!! I love to make mama play fetch with me! I even bring back the ball and set it next to her on the couch so she will throw it for me. I like to hang out at the local dog park and go swimming in our backyard pool durning the summer. Last year I attended the doxie dash as a spectator and I am super excited to be participating in it for the first time this year.

I am so sleepy but I'm currently in an IM conversation w. my cousin - and since I can multitask I thought I would blog too....

Today sucked monkey balls!!! It all started w/ the dread of going to work - blah!!!
Then the day took about 2yrs to pass - super blah!!!
Now I have to go to bed and do it all again tomorrow - mega blah!!!

This working for a living and paying bills is for the birds!!

So there was something else I was going to say......thinking....thinking....taking a water break from all the thinking.....Oh yeah!

Do you ever get the feeling that someone is following you when you are driving??? Sometimes I do -- or if I'm driving and I'm behind the same car for a long time I wonder if they think I'm following them -- Anyways....

I was on my way home from work tonight and there was a car behind me and he had those annoying blue lights - you know which ones I'm talking about the bright headlights that either are blue or look blue -so I noticed this car was behind me all the way down Boyd St. and then they turned on Wylie and then they went threw the next stop sign and then I started to think .."what will I do if they turn down my street....I will keep driving thats what I will do...b/c I don't want them to know where I live"

Does anyone else ever think these things or am I the only paranoid schizo out there????


One last question -- did anyone see Sunshine Cleaners???? My friend Lindy and I went to go see it this last Monday and its already out of the big theater....I wanna see it!!

D-Day + 15

So I went to the gym to be disappointed in the fact that I gain a pound back --- But I ate out ALOT last week and I need to stop doing that!!! FAST FOOD IS NOT GOOD -- even if it is your only meal other then cereal for breakfast....We went grocery shopping today and I got stuff to make a salad so I'm going to throw it all in a bowl and try to eat it tonight for dinner and tomorrow for lunch or something ... I don't know .... blah.... we did get these Special K crackers ---they are soooo... good!! We got the Italian Tomato & Herb ones...yum! I highly sugguest you try them! 17 is 90 calories and 24 is 120 calories -- I think I've had more then 17 :0) - even thought I haven't lost any weight I do feel a bit more lean...does that make sense...pluse muscle weighs more than fat and it takes muscle to burn the fat....ya something like that..at least thats what I'm going to keep saying to myself.

Whats been going on.....

Let's see its Monday and I should be doing a D-Day update but instead of going to the gym today I went to lunch w/ my bff Lindy and then we went and looked at apartments and then to the mall where I splurged on a new pair of puma shoes that I love!!! So the D-Day update will come tomorrow after I weigh myself at the gym.

Last week was one of the windiest weeks ever!!! Last Thur I left for work and I had the windows open in the kitchen. Well later that evening Brad text me to say he took a nap and woke up to find a thin layer of dirt all over the house.... I thought no biggie its happened b/f and it just looks like alot b/c our countertops are black so you see dust really well.

Well this is what I came home to.....

We could write in it.....and this was on the opposite side that the window was on

And Brad's response is....thats the last time I take a nap durning a wind storm......Ha!

CHARLIE BEAN MADE IT INTO THE DOXIE DASH!!!

We found out last night!!! Brad's sister was at the drawing b/c her roommate also entered her dog Oliver in and he made it too!!! We are so excited!! But now this means it is time to get serious about training. Brad will be running w/ him b/c he is less likely to fall on his face...I'm kinda clumsy. And I'm SOOOO....making t-shirts and posters to hold - omg!! I'm so excited!!!

This books was really good -- and made me realize how life can take you through unexpected paths. Some you choose and some you don't. The only thing I didn't like was the last paragraph I didn't think it fit but maybe thats b/c it was 1am when I read it hehe :0)

Brrrrr....

Last night our heater decided to stop working and its freaking cold in here!! I woke up and its 59* in our house!!!! I took Barney the Blue Beta to our neighbors b/c I was scared he was going to freeze to death!! Casey is shivering and he's the one w/ the most fur.....Ahhh I hate this Oklahoma weather you go from heater to windows open to air conditioner back to heater all in one day!! And the wind OMG! This is probably the first day in 4 that the wind has not been insane. So I'm waiting for Brad to get home to look at it b/f we call the landlord -- hopefully we don't have to call her (fingers crossed) --- I'm ready for summer!!

D-Day + 7

So as of today it has been one week since I started my diet w/ my diet pills and I have lost about 3lbs - which itn't bad since I only went to the gym once last week and I ate like crap this last weekend. I did have two REALLY bad headaches which Callie says is from the pills.... one I know is b/c I slept way too much one day and felt like I had been hit by a truck by the time I finally crawled out of bed. So this week is better I already went to the gym today - I do feel more energetic especially when I get on the treadmill I feel like I can go and go and go

--- Ok I hit something on my comp and now every this is underlined ---- I don't know how to stop it WEIRD ---

Anyways -- my appetite has diminished alot!! That has been the main thing - oh and I drink more water - and I like it - I don't crave diet coke like I use to which is also a bonus :0)

Tomorrow I am going to try and get up and go to yoga at 8am -- I will let you know if this actually happens since I'm lucky if I get out of bed b/f 10am on most days.

I totally recommend this book if you are interested in twist and turns and not knowing who the bad guy REALLY is!!! I posted the info shared on the back of the book b/c I don't want to say anything that would ruin it -- and make sure you read the prologue - or you may miss some info.
